Redlands used to be nothing by orange groves---Everywhere Orange Groves. There still are quite a few, but it’s definitely not what it used to be. However, there is one thing about Redlands Culture that continues: sidewalk produce stands. Everywhere in our part of town are families who put out little stands in front of their homes where they put out their extra produce. No one mans these stands, the families just put out a tin can and a sign with how much the items cost. It’s awesome!! I hadn’t yet remembered to take advantage of it. But, today, I bought four pomegranates for 50cents each (when I was at the market today, they were selling for $2.83 a piece). I love it!! I’m getting good stuff that was made here for cheap! :) From now on, every time Chompy and I go out in the stroller, I’m going to take a couple of bucks with me. Who knows what we will find!?!
